Meet Brock Harrison - 2025 LET Scholar

Barossa-born and raised, Brock is the Winemaker at Elderton Wines, with over two decades of experience in the wine industry. Known for his considered, site-driven approach, he blends deep a technical expertise with a passion for crafting wines that are reflective of their terroir. Brock has been actively involved in Australian wine shows for more than a decade. His roles as both judge and associate have spanned regional, capital city, and varietal-specific shows. Beyond the judging table, he has taken an active role in the wine show community, including serving as Chief Steward of the Barossa Wine Show, demonstrating a commitment to upholding the standards, structure, and spirit of wine shows as a space for learning, connection, and celebration of Australian wine.

Before joining Elderton in mid-2019, Brock spent over a decade in senior roles at Pernod Ricard Winemakers, encompassing Sparkling, Chardonnay, Aromatic Whites, and Premium Red wine portfolios. His broad experience across winemaking regions, styles and production scales continues to shape a versatile and thoughtful approach to his craft.

He remains guided by the philosophy that “you’re only as good as your next wine,” and is humbled to have been selected as one of 12 scholars for this year’s Len Evans Tutorial. He is looking forward to tasting some of the great wines of the world and the chance to build connections, challenge his thinking and sharpen his palate alongside a group of equally passionate scholars and industry mentors.
