Meet Jacob Stein - 2025 LET Scholar

Jacob Stein is the third-generation caretaker of Robert Stein Vineyard, farm and winery in Mudgee, NSW. Jacob has recently taken over the family farm, running it alongside his wife, Gina, and their two young boys, after spending 16 years with the company and contributing significantly to its growth and success by becoming one of NSW's flagship producers of Riesling. 

Jacob is the Managing Director of a mixed enterprise company, which features a cellar door, restaurant, winery, vineyard, and paddock-to-plate farming operation, all while adopting a sustainable and regenerative approach across the entire business. 

Jacob has completed over 40 wine shows as a Judge, and has used this experience to fine-tune his winemaking skills, which are evident in the portfolio of the Stein Wines. Robert Stein Winery is highly acclaimed on the wine show scene and is very proud of its three trophies for three different Rieslings in 2024 at the Sydney Royal Wine Show, a mighty feat for a little Mudgee winery.
